Volunteer Day at MIUC

Volunteer Day at MIUC

MIUC opened its campus for a Volunteer Day that quickly turned into one of those moments that stays with you. We welcomed 13 students from Programa Vuela, an initiative by Casa Global Gift, for a day built around creativity, movement, and shared experience.

The day began in a relaxed, playful spirit with a creative activity focused on painting Christmas T-shirts. What started as a simple idea soon became a space for self-expression, conversation, and fun. Students worked side by side, exchanging ideas, colours, and jokes, with no pressure and no expectations. It was less about the final result and more about enjoying the process together.

Later, the energy shifted outdoors with a friendly football match that brought out everyone’s competitive spirit in the best possible way. The game was fast, lively, and full of encouragement from both sides. In the end, Programa Vuela took the win with a close 10-9 score.

Throughout the day, the atmosphere on campus was open, joyful, and warm. For MIUC students, it was a reminder that volunteering doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes, simply spending time together, creating something with your hands, or sharing a game is enough to build connection.

Events like this reflect an important part of MIUC’s values. Education is not limited to academic development. It also involves learning how to engage with others, how to show kindness through action, and how to contribute positively to the community around us. Volunteer Day was a clear example of how these values can be lived.

We are truly grateful to Programa Vuela and Casa Global Gift for bringing their students, their energy, and their positivity to our campus. MIUC is proud of everyone who took part and looks forward to creating more moments like this, where learning, generosity, and community come together in an authentic and joyful way.

Special thank you goes to our student Kenneth Percy for taking pictures on this beautiful day.
