International Relations
The MSc in International Relations at MIUC is a one-year, full-time programme taught entirely in English. The degree is awarded by the University of West London (UWL), a UK-accredited institution recognised internationally for its academic excellence.

Explore inequality, conflict, and global governance
This programme challenges you to critically engage with the most pressing issues in international affairs today. You’ll explore how political concepts and institutions are being redefined in response to shifting global and local landscapes, and you’ll investigate the forces reshaping governance, power, and cooperation across borders.
Topics include the impact of global inequality, democratic deficits, environmental pressures, and the changing nature of conflict. The course takes a critical stance on traditional theories and institutions, encouraging you to question established frameworks and analyse their relevance in a rapidly evolving world.
Throughout, you’ll develop the skills to think independently, analyse complex problems, and approach international relations with both creativity and rigour. The programme includes modules such as Global Theory of International Relations, International Public Law, Emerging Markets, International Political Economy, International Risk Assessment, and EU Policies and Politics, culminating in your Master’s dissertation.
By the end, you will graduate with both the knowledge and the practical research skills to succeed in careers across international organisations, NGOs, government, policy, and beyond.
A postgraduate degree in International Relations from MIUC opens the door to a wide range of exciting career opportunities. The programme allows you to tailor your subject choices to match your professional ambitions, while internships and your Master’s dissertation further strengthen your employability.
Graduates pursue roles such as international affairs advisers, public affairs officers, conflict resolution analysts, political consultants, and civil servants. Tuition Fees
The annual tuition fee for this programme is 21,300 €, covering both the autumn and spring semesters. This includes course registration, tuition and standard study materials, full access to the Blackboard learning platform, library access, visa and immigration support, and 24/7 student assistance.
Students who make their tuition payment before 15 May are eligible for an early payment benefit. Paying the full year in advance grants a 15% discount, while paying for one semester in advance grants a 10% discount, provided the payment is completed before the deadline.
Course registration takes place during the first week of the semester. Non-attendance later in the term does not remove financial or academic responsibility for courses in which a student has already enrolled. Any course withdrawal must be officially processed through Student Services.
Every student is responsible for being familiar with, and complying with, all published university regulations and policies.
Entry Requirements
For entry at Level 4, applicants should normally have 104–120 UCAS points. W
e accept a wide range of Level 3 qualifications, including BTEC Level 3 Diplomas, A Levels, Access to HE Diplomas (with at least 21 credits at Merit), and equivalent international qualifications.
We also welcome applicants with relevant vocational experience or those returning to education as mature students. Where UCAS tariff points fall short of the requirement, strong evidence of professional experience may be taken into account. In such cases, applicants may be invited to interview and asked to complete a short written task to ensure the course is a suitable academic match.
Applicants must additionally hold GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or recognised equivalents.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Students with suitable prior study may be considered for advanced entry:
• Direct entry into Level 5 (Year 2)
• Direct entry into Level 6 (Year 3)
All RPL applications are assessed individually against programme criteria.
International Students
Spanish immigration rules require that student visa applications are submitted at least two months before the course begins. We therefore strongly encourage early application and enrolment.
