The Highlights of the MIUC Graduation Ceremony 2025

It was the most emotional day of the year for us, a day filled with pride, tears and an overwhelming sense of triumph.
On the warm evening of 29 July 2025, Marbella International University Centre once again opened its doors to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2025.
The ceremony began with the singing of Gaudeamus Igitur, a solemn and moving moment that brought a deep feeling of unity and tradition to all who were present.
After this, MIUC’s Chief Operating Officer, Maria Polo, welcomed the guests with warmth and sincerity, setting the tone for an evening full of emotion and celebration. Professor Peter John CBE, Vice Chancellor and President of the University of West London, followed with an inspiring speech that highlighted the courage, resilience and potential of each graduate.
Then came the most significant moment of the evening, the awarding of degrees. As each name was announced, graduands crossed the stage with hearts full of pride and anticipation. One by one, they shook hands with Professor Peter John, Dr Beata Froehlich and their Course Leader Dr Juho Ahava. Each handshake represented the hard work, late nights, dedication and perseverance that had brought them to this achievement.
One of the most touching and memorable parts of the event was the Graduates’ Vote of Thanks, delivered by Rania Haddioui and Gilles Simon J Vandervoort.
Rania shared her story:
“I arrived as an inquisitive student from Morocco, stepping into a world I couldn’t have imagined, an environment that would have such a profound impact on me—not only academically, but personally”.
“I didn’t know who I truly was until I came to MIUC.
To our lecturers: thank you for challenging us to think critically, to write clearly, and to stay curious. You didn’t just teach us what to know—you taught us how to think. That is something no one can take away.”
But it was the Dean’s address that truly stayed with everyone in the audience. Speaking with warmth, humour and honesty, she painted a vivid picture of the challenges faced by Generation Z, comparing their world to a Rubik’s Cube with some stickers missing. She reminded the Class of 2025 that the future is not a fixed path to follow, but a canvas that each person can shape. Quoting the CEO of NVIDIA, Jensen Huang, she said,
“The future is not something that happens to us. The future is something we create.”
As the ceremony came to a close, the sense of pride and achievement was clear. These students are no longer just learners, they are creators, contributors and future leaders. The world is waiting, and with it comes the opportunity to put every lesson, every skill and every insight from MIUC into practice.
To the Class of 2025, we say this: move forward with courage, compassion and curiosity. May you find purpose in your challenges, joy in your achievements and wisdom in every journey. The future is yours to shape.
Congratulations, graduates. You have truly earned this moment, and we are proud to have shared this chapter of your story. The best is still to come.
