Quantum-Enhanced AI for Talent Retention
We were delighted to welcome Professor Waymond Rodgers from The University of Texas at El Paso to MIUC for a forward-looking lecture titled “Quantum-Enhanced AI for Talent Retention.” His session opened a window into a future where human insight and advanced technology work side by side.
It would be easy to assume this topic is all algorithms, data, and code — but the real focus was people. Professor Rodgers explored how we make decisions, what motivates us to stay and grow within an organisation, and how AI can be used not to replace the human element, but to support it.
He illustrated how quantum computing has the potential to transform the way we understand patterns of human behaviour, enabling organisations to design workplaces where ethical decision-making and genuine retention thrive.
One message stood out: culture matters. When powerful technology meets human values, the challenge becomes how to innovate without losing what makes us uniquely human.
Our students left with fresh questions, new perspectives, and a stronger sense of responsibility for shaping workplaces that are both technologically advanced and deeply humane.
We extend our sincere thanks to Professor Rodgers for an inspiring visit and a remarkable contribution to our academic community.
