Join Us in Welcoming Dr Berta Balmes Góngora to MIUC

We are delighted to introduce Dr Berta Balmes Góngora to our faculty.

Fascinated by human nature, and the potential of people to become extraordinary is a lifelong passion for her, which has illuminated her academic course and teaching experiences.

For her, each person is a unique and unrepeatable combination of genes that can achieve unparalleled personal growth by developing what is truly authentic within themselves.
She has served in many different countries and sectors, developing in the process an excellent cross-cultural sensitivity and understanding, and a forward thinking during sociological difficulties.

Before dedicating fully to her work as a therapist, educator and mentor, she spent several years working as an engineer managing international teams in various countries including the USA, Germany, Spain and UK, and developing along the way a deep awareness of the human condition.

She has worked in universities for many years, helping and guiding students to discover their true selves and understanding the importance of knowledge; education and honesty are the gateways to freedom. That is what she will bring and provide to MIUC.

As a psychologist, she is a therapist whose main purpose is to help people of all ages find personal meaning in life, focusing on the future and the human capacity to endure difficulties and suffering through the pursuit of purpose.

She earned a Doctorate in Logotherapy, a Master degree in Psychology, an MBA, a Professional Accreditation in Marketing, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
