Hind Arroub, PhD
PhD in Law and Political Science

Dr Hind Arroub is an interdisciplinary scholar, senior lecturer, and Fulbright Fellow, specialising in geopolitics, law, social science, and AI ethics and policy. She is an Innovator Fellow at Berkeley University’s CITRIS Innovation Hub and serves as an AI policy and alignment advisor for the American think tank Kawaai.ai. Additionally, she mentors on AI and data privacy with All Tech is Human-US.
She has lectured at American universities, including Stanford, Princeton, Berkeley, Notre Dame Du Lac, and Fordham. She is also a fellow at the Maecenata Stiftung in Berlin and was previously an associate researcher at the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. As the North Africa Regional Manager for the Varieties of Democracy Program at Gothenburg University, she contributes to a global democracy and big data project, producing over 22.5 million data points annually.
Her consultancy work spans leading international organisations, including the United Nations, USAID, UNDP, UN Women, the World Bank, and the IMF.
Dr Hind Arroub holds a PhD in Law and Political Science from Mohammed V University, Morocco, and completed a Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Middle East Studies at Fordham University, US. She has also earned advanced certifications in AI from Lund University, Sweden, and Deeplearning.AI, US.
Dr Hind Arroub has been recognised as one of the 100 brilliant and inspiring women globally on the 2025 list by the Women in AI Ethics Foundation, selected from 800 nominations.
Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, she brings a global perspective to her work in academia, policy, and AI governance.
