Sergio Reyes, MBA is an entrepreneur and independent consultant specialising in delivering value-added services to European companies seeking to expand and strengthen their business presence in the United States. His background combines over 20 years of teaching experience with a distinguished career in high-level financial roles.
Holding an MBA from the University of Houston, Sergio Reyes brings specialised expertise in banking, derivative instruments, ESG integration, and the fintech industry. Recognised for his teaching excellence in the Master in Management programme at IE Business School, he has lectured to diverse audiences, including corporate executives and postgraduate students, across Europe, the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. He is fluent in Spanish and English, proficient in financial tools such as Bloomberg, VBA, and MS Office, and actively contributes to thought leadership through published articles and media appearances on capital markets, digital banking, ESG, and structured finance.
Sergio Reyes currently serves as a Partner at the Institute of Advanced Finance and as the Spain & Portugal Director for Enterprise Florida. He previously co-headed the Sustainable Economics Research Group at the Philippe Cousteau Foundation and held senior positions at Santander Bank, including Director of the Over-the-Counter Equity Derivatives Desk and Specialist on the Derivative Market Making Desk. His extensive career highlights a strong commitment to advancing sustainable finance and supporting cross-border business growth.
