March 8 - International Women’s day, a remarkable holiday that makes us acknowledge and appreciate women’s achievements and impact on the world.
In anticipation of this day, on the 7th of March MIUC hosted Madrid Sports Press Association (APDM), representatives of which gave an interesting talk on the topic “Women in Sport”.
The guests talked about challenges they faced connected to gender inequality and prejudices about women in sport. However, they highlighted that over the last years they felt more supported and respected as society tends to banish the old and narrow-minded ideas.
We think that this tendency is very promising, and it will develop more in the future.
