Graduation Ceremony 2024

Marbella International University Centre celebrated another Graduation Ceremony on the 30th of July.

The ceremony began with the graduands remaining standing for the singing of the traditional “Gaudeamus Igitur,” a moment that brought a sense of solemnity and tradition to the celebration. As the final notes of the song echoed through the hall, the graduands were then seated while our officiating COO, Maria Polo, warmly welcomed the assembly, setting the tone for the heartfelt and joyous event that was to unfold.

Professor Peter John CBE, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of West London, followed with an inspiring welcome address, reflecting on the journey our students have undertaken and the bright futures ahead. His words resonated deeply, reminding everyone of the strength and potential within each graduate.

We were also honoured to have a representative from the Marbella Town Hall Ms Remedios Bocanegra as our keynote speaker, whose words of wisdom and encouragement added a special touch to the ceremony.

The conferring of the Master and Bachelor Degrees was a significant highlight. One by one, as each graduand’s name was called, they walked across the stage, their hearts pounding with anticipation. They shook hands with Professor Peter John, Dr. Beata Froehlich, and their respective Course Leaders—a triumphant moment that marked the culmination of their academic journey. Each handshake was a congratulatory gesture, a personal acknowledgment of their achievements, and a symbol of the bright futures that lie ahead.

Following the conferring of degrees, Ariadna Reyes Postigo and Sofie Troedson Wagner delivered the Graduates’ Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the graduating class. Their words were a poignant reminder of the support, friendship, and mentorship that have defined their time at our institution.

The Charge to the Graduates was delivered by Dr. Beata Froehlich, who inspired the graduates to carry forward the values and knowledge they have acquired, to make meaningful contributions to society, and to strive for excellence in all their future endeavours.
