GI Bill-Approved Programmes
All degree programmes at MIUC are approved by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The university participates in both the GI Bill and the Post-9/11 GI Bill educational assistance programmes, enabling eligible veterans to use their benefits while studying in Spain.

Inside, you’ll find multimedia-powered classrooms designed for no more than twenty students, so discussion stays personal and professors know your name. Every space is equipped with advanced interactive technology integrated with the Blackboard platform – so the experience feels as seamless as it is serious.
Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefits
Eligible students under the Post-9/11 GI Bill may receive substantial educational support, subject to the VA’s annual budget.
Benefits may include tuition reimbursement of up to USD 22,805 per academic year for approved private institutions. Veterans who completed 36 months of active duty after 9/11 are eligible for full benefits. Additional support may include a monthly housing and living allowance of up to USD 1,681, as well as up to USD 1,000 per year for books and academic supplies.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill also allows eligible service members to transfer unused benefits to a spouse or dependent children.
Montgomery GI Bill
The Montgomery GI Bill is available to individuals who enlisted in the United States Armed Forces and includes two main options.
The Active Duty programme applies to service members who enrolled and contributed for the required period, entitling them to a monthly education benefit after completing their service obligation.
The Selected Reserve programme is available to reservists with an active six-year commitment in the Selected Reserve.
Students receiving Montgomery GI Bill benefits (Chapter 30 or Chapter 1606) receive their education payments directly from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. These funds are paid to the student, and students are responsible for paying their tuition and fees to MIUC according to the university’s standard payment schedule.
Students planning to use the Montgomery GI Bill are required to request a monthly instalment payment plan with MIUC in advance of the start of their studies.
US Military Fellowship
MIUC offers Military Fellowships in recognition of the service, leadership and contribution of former members of the United States Armed Forces.
These fellowships are designed for veterans who bring discipline, global perspective and social responsibility to the academic community, and who reflect MIUC’s core values of diversity, entrepreneurship, humanities and responsibility. Military Fellowships at MIUC are available exclusively to former members of the US Armed Forces.
How to Apply
To apply for educational benefits, students must first submit their application to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, which will determine eligibility. Application forms are available through the VA website.
Once registered with the VA, students should submit the relevant enrolment form to the MIUC admissions team.
MIUC will certify the application and return the documentation to the VA for approval. Approved funds are sent directly to MIUC by the VA and credited towards tuition or living expenses.
