Guest lectures at ‘Laude San Pedro International College’

Two of our professors, Dr. Vera Champagne, and Dr Gloria Nogueiras went to the Laude San Pedro International College to deliver an interactive lecture to prepare students to ‘Stand out at a Job interview’. Lectures to the nearly graduating students at this college was created to develop them on how to answer one of the most common questions during the interview ‘Tell me about yourself’.
This often-used interview question can create anxiety with the candidate as well as be a pitfall for several errors. The importance, besides the tips and tricks how to ace this question during an interview, was explained from a theoretical perspective but also put into practice in this workshop. Students learned how to craft their own personal story and how to set them apart from others in the interview.
The last part of the class addressed the preparation needed before going to the interview and applying that information to impress your future employer. The students understood that the CV will get you the interview but your preparation, answers and presentation during the interview will be determined to get the job!
