What is the English placement test?

The English test is designed to assess students´ knowledge of English grammar and usage. It’s a comprehensive, international assessment covering the two-stranded core language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The test should not take longer than 55 minutes to complete.

Are previous English test scores accepted?

Generally, English language tests are only valid for two years. We accept tests taken up to two years preceding the programme start date. However, MIUC reserves the right to request further test evidence, once students arrive at the MIUC campus, to allow a more reliable assessment, and allocation of student groups. Applicants should note that extensions of previous assessments are not automatically granted since the evidence already submitted may not reflect the applicant’s level of English at the time of application.

What other languages are offered at MIUC?

MIUC recognizes the value of speaking multiple languages in a world in which global relationships are often a necessity for businesses and organisations to thrive. At MIUC, we offer language courses in Spanish.

Are my MIUC credits transferable to other universities?

Yes. The credits may be transferred to another institution. Though it is up to the other institution to evaluate each of the credit transfers, MIUC is committed to helping students who wish to transfer to either a partner university or independent university.

What is the general daily schedule?

Classes are normally held from Monday till Thursday. Fridays are reserved for self-study times, giving the students the opportunity to catch up with learning materials of that week, discuss with their peers the team assignments, and meet lecturers for any open questions the students might have and extracurricular activities.

Can I visit the University?
Yes. The best way to experience MIUC is to see the campus in person, take a tour, join an information session, and, if you wish, sit in on a class as a guest student. You will also have the opportunity to speak with current students who can share their experiences of studying and living in Marbella.

Walk-in visitors are welcome, but arranging your visit in advance is recommended. Campus visits begin at the main reception and run Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 16:30. A typical visit includes a campus tour guided by an admissions advisor, an overview session with academic staff, and, when available, a meeting with the dean and members of the student body.

How do I reach the University?
Marbella International University Centre is situated in a quiet residential area within walking distance of Marbella’s city centre and the beach. The location is easily accessible whether you are arriving from the town, nearby neighbourhoods, or the coastal areas surrounding Marbella.

Is there a deadline for submitting the application form?
There is no fixed deadline. MIUC reviews applications on a rolling basis and processes them as they arrive. It is recommended, however, that you apply a few months before your programme begins. The admissions team may take up to four weeks to review your application, academic transcripts, and supporting documents.

International students should be aware that Spanish immigration guidelines require student visa applications to be submitted at least two months before the start of the course, so early planning is essential.

What is the interview about, and how can I prepare for it?
MIUC encourages a personal interview as part of the admissions process. Interviews take place either on campus or via Teams and are an opportunity for you to express who you are, discuss what you can contribute to campus life, and start building a relationship with the admissions team.

You are encouraged to ask questions about MIUC, your chosen programme, and any aspect of student life. Feeling nervous is completely normal; the best preparation is simply to reflect on why MIUC appeals to you, what you hope to study, and your ambitions after graduation. The interview is designed to get to know you as a future student and to help determine your placement in the appropriate academic group. The admissions team genuinely wants the conversation to go well.

What is the difference between Application, Acceptance, and Admission?
The application is the initial step where you submit your application form together with your official high school or post-secondary transcripts, and the required supporting documents outlined in the entry requirements.

Acceptance comes after your application has been reviewed. If you meet the entry criteria, provide the required supporting documents, and successfully go through the interview, you will be offered a place in the next available intake, along with information about payment options.

Admission means you have officially secured your place at MIUC. Once the required supporting documents were provided, registration deposit and tuition fees have been paid, you will receive your admission letter, which confirms that you are enrolled. Information about registration and enrollment for your first semester will be sent to you shortly before the start of the programme.

My diploma and transcripts are not in English. Will you accept them?
Yes, but if your documents are not in English, sworn certified translations may be required. If you do not already have a translation, MIUC can provide contacts for accredited translation services once your application has been submitted.

I’m missing a Bachelor’s degree diploma, can I still be admitted? 
Yes, but it will be conditional upon the reception of the missing documents.

What are the tuition fees?
Yes, there are tuition fees. All students are required to pay a 1,200 € registration fee as their first installment, which consists of a 300 € administration fee and a 900 € place reservation fee.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, tuition fees are as follows:
Undergraduate programmes are 20,800 € per academic year.
Postgraduate programmes are 21,300 € for the full course.

How can I make my payment?
Payments can be made by bank transfer, cheque, or credit card. Bank transfers should always include your full name and student ID number as a reference. Transfers can take up to ten working days to arrive, so you should initiate the payment well before your due date. Any bank charges applied by your bank are your responsibility; the University does not cover or absorb bank transfer fees. If you need the bank details or have questions, you can contact the Admissions Office at admissions@miuc.org.

Cheques or banker’s drafts should be made payable to “MISC Marbella International Studies Centre” and should clearly state your name, student ID number, and the purpose of payment on the back. They may be sent by post to:

Alternatively, cheques can be handed in directly at the Admissions Office on the first floor, which is open from 9:00 to 17:00. Please note that Eurocheques are not accepted.

Credit card payments can be made using Discover, MasterCard, or Visa, either on campus at the Admissions Office or via the arrangements provided by the admissions team.
