Diploma in Applied Languages and Business
Geraldine O’Callaghan is a graduate from the National University of Ireland, Galway and University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, where she studied Languages and Business. After a brief stint in teaching in her early years, she spent over 15 years working in sales and marketing in the educational sector, heading a team of professionals, and was involved in developing and promoting Ireland´s leading education textbooks.
In more recent years, she has returned to teaching, focussing on Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She moved from her native Ireland to the south of Spain, joining the MIUC languages department in 2014.
She brings to this role a wealth of experience in motivating and leading people, skills she gained in the business world that are directly transferable to the language learning environment, where students´ ability to build confidence in their communication skills is fundamental.
